Berlusconi says party will win landslide election in a year

(AGI) Rome, Mar 15 - Silvio Berlusconi is confident his party will win the election by a landslide in a year's time. Speaking by telephone at a Forza Italia event in Varese on Saturday, he said: "On May 25, the local and European elections are taking place and I am sure that our clubs can help us achieve a good result. But above all, in about one year's time, when the general election will inevitably be held, we will make a huge leap forward. Some may think I'm crazy, but I remember a lot of people saying the same thing back in 1994 too, when I quoted Erasmus of Rotterdam's words on far-sighted folly".
