'We must get house in order, and we will' says premier

- The Hague, March 24 - Premier Matteo Renzi on Monday said far-right
victories in French local elections sent a strong signal to Italy to
address voter disenfranchisement. "We need to get our house in
order, straighten out the country, and we'll do that," said
Renzi when asked to comment on the National Front's
better-than-expected results over the weekend. Speaking from The
Hague after a major global summit on nuclear security, he went on to
comment on how well-respected Italy is by its international partners.
"People are paying a lot of attention to us," said Renzi,
whose government is trying to pass over 12 billion euros in income
and business tax cuts to stimulate the economy's slowgoing recovery
after the worst recession since World War II.
